there is forever a
tension to
reconcile the way i
thought i understood
God,and the
way i think i understand
God now,
that somehow both are
incomplete,but
may be made whole
by searching the
wider spectrum of
experience and trying to
see where
things were clear,where
things are clear,
i don't know if
culture is chaff,and i
need to shake it out,
set some of it at least
with the rubbish,
meaning,
i never needed to
identify strictly on the
cultural level and
i can't do that now,
what was important than was
bhakti,it's the same now,
what's important is
love of God,
don't dress the
truth up in anything,
don't cut it's hair or
teach it a new language,
just strip it back,
surrender,listen,
+ + +
feeling a little
unbalanced,body could
use a break from abuse and
more care,put the
other fires out with a
little common sense,
six samosas before bed is
six too many,
sipping cranberry juice
just isn't a fix,
end of the night
laugh at yourself
for everything,

I've been wondering about culture as well. Old testament desert wanderings, drawing people away from the urban landscapes to mountain tops where God can have their full attention.
I don't know what I know anymore.
