young fathers,we should
realize quickly what we suffer,
how our selfishness is our
favorite meal,
something to enjoy over and
over,
i still find my language is
saturated in
selfishness,when i lose
my patience,i ask for
things i want,and don't ask
'what's wrong?' or
'what do you need?'
hardened and scabbed over
parts of me
need to be renewed,
i know this,and want to
listen rather than react with
stone tools,
we all pray for this
time of year.
